Aside from hair, I usually end up asking clients what they’re up to and seeing where we go from there. I’m always down to talk about my cat, any books I might be reading, or my current dnd campaign!

How do you want people to feel when they walk out of the salon?
Like they are ready to go on stage at karaoke. Because even if they can’t sing, they’ll look DAMN good doing it!
Hair must have?
Sleep protection (satin pillowcase, product etc) My curls look wild if I don’t take care of them while I sleep.
What do you value most in your friends?
Presence, being there. Friends who are there for you physically or figuratively during good times and bad. Showing up to plans and wanting to make plans, shows they care.
Who would play you in a movie?
I get told I look like Emma Stone, so I’d probably choose her for accuracy.
What’s your go-to Karaoke song?
Here’s the thing, I have an extensive list in my notes app of songs I’d like to sing at karaoke but the reality is I’ll never do it because I know I’m not a good singer and if there’s one thing about me if I’m doing something I want to do a good job of it.
What’s your most overused word or phrase?
I’m trying to tone back the “slay!’s” … it started as a joke and now I can’t stop!
What’s one non hair thing you want to learn?
I want to learn how to do woodburning. I think it would utilize my printmaking skills in a cool new way.
How many steps in your skincare routine?
let’s be honest, I’m lucky if I moisturize at night. But, I NEVER skip my face sunscreen.
Who are your Top 3 artists on Spotify?
Honestly I listen to podcasts more than music but I’ve been really into Sabrina Carpenter, Gracie Abrams, and Lady Gaga.
How many times do you hit snooze in the morning?
none or 1, depending on the day.
